I used this togay tos slice a small square of cheese. I used the glove to protect my fingers since it's sharp. Made easy work and very tidy due to all the pieces went into the mason jar instead of pieces all over the counter. I'm going to get the grater, too, though I have the large microplane grater, this is so convenient with the jar attached.

I didn't didn't know I needed this until I purchased a handheld one that removes kernels the same way. I love that and thought it was the solution to all of my corn cob kernel problems but then I saw this wood that goes on top of a candy jar. The one problem with the manual type kernel stripper is that they can go everywhere but honestly it has so many benefits that I didn't even care but now that I own this, I absolutely love it. You need to make sure that you press down firmly on the corn cob as you are going across the blade to make sure you get down to the very cob and get all of the colonel. It's a very simple process and the odds of you cutting your hand at all are slim to none unless you were to put your hand directly on that bleed but there is a whole ear of corn in between your hand and that bleed. My only grape is it's a little difficult to store because it doesn't have any kind of a cover or case and I can imagine you could cause some hand issues if you were to just toss it in a drawer. Other than that this is a fantastic product that I absolutely did need and didn't know it. I had pictures that I took the day I used it because I show them to my daughter when she came over but I must have deleted them and I don't have any corn to retake them. If you eat a lot of corn and you don't like eating it off the cob, you need this product. Note that the jar does not come with it.

Works great! Came in 4 days. I love that it goes on the mason jar so corn doesn't go flying everywhere like when I cut it off with a knife. Very sharp and cuts fast. Wish I would've had it at the beginning of the summer to eat all the summer corn with
