The Spice Mill is specifically designed to grind and store hard spices, such as nutmeg and cinnamon.

The Microplane Spice Mill grinds hard spices like cinnamon and nutmeg to optimize the flavor of your cooking and baking. Designed for professional chefs and home cooks, our Spice Mill also features storage on the top where you can keep your whole spices! The Spice Mill should be hand washed, and disassembles for easy cleaning.

The manual-style Spice Mill produces individual and personalized grind texture based on the amount of pressure used when twisting the top. To use, simply remove the plunger, place hard spices in the base, replace the plunger, push down on the top, and twist clockwise with one hand while holding the base with the other hand.

  • Usage: Push down and twist the top clockwise for grating.
  • Storage: Utilize the airtight compartment at the top to keep spices fresh.

saved manicure!

I absolutely love the nutmeg grinder. It saved my fingernails and knuckles. No more ruined manicures! I’m forever thankful and grateful.

The grinder works great for nutmeg and black peppercorns. Easy to use. My recommendation would be to make the grinding chamber taller so that it could hold more spice without jacking up the top of the grinder which makes the top lean over. I have 3 of these grinders now and love them. But my next purchase may be a taller version.

I I have had my black spice mill for several years. I use it for Ceylon cinnamon, the soft stick cinnamon, and I use it every day. Today I could not get it apart. it’s tight and I don’t want to break it. I was hoping someone might have some tips or hints that would help me separate the top from the bottom. I have another one that I used for cayenne pepper. I really like them. Purchased at my local independent cookware store
